Installation Services

Connection (see ordering screen for current charges)

Laundry and Dishwashing

Our connection charge includes disconnecting the old machine, connecting the new one using standard fittings, removing transit packaging if necessary, testing, a quick demonstration and removal of packaging. If any additional items are needed to complete the installation, they will be chargeable e.g. longer hoses etc. The drivers will advise of the cost.

This service may not be possible if we find anything unexpected i.e. seized valves, faulty or unsafe sockets etc. in this event we will advise you that you need a plumber or electrician to carry out remedial work and we will of course refund any connection charges-this may result in an extra delivery charge if we need to come to you again at a later date to redeliver or remove.

 

Refrigeration

We will unplug and plug in your new refrigeration appliance providing it is within reach of the cable supplied and does not involve cutting off plugs and feeding cable through cabinets etc. in short, we will happily do it if it’s quick and simple. 

 

Cookers and Built in Appliances

We can arrange installation of gas and electric cookers with trusted local specialists normally at time of delivery, please call us to discuss further.

 

Tumble Dryers

Most tumble dryers now are condenser and don’t require anything other than a power supply.

Please understand that if your floor is uneven or your adjacent cabinets are crooked we may not be able to level your new appliance perfectly, however we will do our best within reason and the limited time we have. We reserve the right to refuse installation should our engineers think that the existing electrical or plumbing points are unsafe and in need of maintenance or if they are unable to install to existing furniture.

 

Removal/Recycle

We will remove your old appliance provided it is disconnected and ready to remove at time of delivery. We provide a like for like (including size of appliance) recycle service only. However we can remove other smaller/larger appliances but you will need to contact us on 01423 530711 so we can arrange suitable collection (please be aware surcharges may be incurred depending on things like access and number of staff required). If a refrigeration appliance is being removed, please ensure that all food and large ice deposits are removed - if it is not ready and we need to come back at a later date this will incur an additional charge (normally the same as the original delivery charge). 

 

Product Maintenance- The Customers’ Responsibility

With every product purchased we will always do our utmost to advise you how to get the maximum performance from your product, and provide support when things go wrong.

However, as the purchaser you have a responsibility to commit to understanding your new product, perform required updates and carryout any routine maintenance or cleaning to the product as detailed in the product manual.

We are unable to provide a free of charge service perform tasks which fall into the category of "general usage and maintenance" of the product.


Delivery

Beks Electrical deliver to selected UK locations within a 20 mile radius of Harrogate & Skipton. Where a customer resides outside of this postcode radius we recommend contacting the store on 01423 530711 or [email protected] to discuss the delivery options

 

Delivery Timescales

Beks Electrical will endeavour to deliver all purchased goods within a window of 7 days. Beks Electrical will contact all customers immediately after a sale has been made to confirm the delivery details.

Damaged Goods

Please advise us within 24 hours of any damage found. We will work with you to find the best solution. It is very important that you notify us of any damage either by phone or email before you use the appliance-we will not exchange a damaged used appliance under any circumstances as we won’t be able to return it to the manufacturer.

Where damage is found and we are installing the products, we will repackage and return the product as soon as the damage is found and endeavour to get a replacement delivered and installed at the earliest opportunity.

Unwanted Goods

This is something we really want to avoid. If you have the time we would prefer you to come to the shop and see what you are buying before you place your order. If this is not possible, please do as much research as possible and please call us if you are unsure of anything-our staff have many years experience in helping customers find the right product.

If you find you have purchased the wrong product, please advise us by telephone or email as soon as possible and return the goods to us at your expense within 14 days. Alternatively we can collect within 14 days, subject to a charge.

The goods must be in the original packaging, unused and complete with all accessories, any promotional goods, together with a copy of the original receipt. Items that are unboxed will incur an additional charge. 

 

Faulty Goods

Please contact us immediately if you think your new product is faulty, we will contact you and resolve the matter promptly.

 

Warranty

When you purchase an appliance from Beks you will automatically be covered by the manufacturer’s standard guarantee. This guarantee usually covers 1 year parts and labour carried out on-site by the manufacturer’s own engineers or authorized service providers. Some manufacturers are now offering 2,3,4 or 5 year parts and labour or 5 year parts and 1 or 2 years labour - these details are shown on the product details page.

Your Rights

Beks Electrical sells products in the UK and we do so in accordance with relevant laws-Sale of Goods Act, Sales and Supply of Goods Act, The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and so on. Please visit the governments website for more information.
